One of Those Days.

With all this talk of girls leaving on their missions as 19 year olds, it should come as no surprise that I too am one of those girls. When the announcement was made, my heart swelled and tears filled my eyes. Finally. This is truly a sign of Gods love for all his sons and daughters. I had prayed earnestly before school about whether serving a mission was something that I needed to do or not before I settled down and started my own family. However, I felt discouraged as I counted the many years I would have to wait to serve the Lord as a missionary. But now, I am able to turn my papers in in a few short months and serve with all my heart, might, mind, and strength as one of the Lords mouth pieces. For the entire day I felt as though I were walking on air. My whole countenance seemed to shine brighter than the sun. Heavenly Father blessed me big with this one.

As the song states: "I have often dreamed, of a far off place. Where a hero's welcome will be waiting for me. Where the crowds will cheer when they see my face, and a voice keeps saying "this is where I'm meant to be." I'll be there someday. I can go the distance. I will find my way, if I can be strong. I know every mile will be worth my while. When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong."

Someday soon I will venture off to that far off place (Boise Idaho anyone?) I may not receive that hero's welcome, but I will know without a doubt that that is where I am meant to be.

God Speed to all the Future Sister Missionaries. 19 is a great age. :)
