Words can make a difference, you can be the difference.
Remember to speak kind words.
"Splendid, isn't it? The way they move, full of strength, color and grace. They're astounding. But you? Cursed from birth, a man--if you can even call him that, who god himself has turned his back upon."
"Stop it. Why would you say that?"
"Because you believe it. But if you could only see the beauty that can come from ashes."
"But they're different from me."
"Yes, you do have an advantage. The greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph."
--The Butterfly Circus
"And now, my son, I trust that I shall have great joy in you, because of your steadiness and your faithfulness unto God; for as you have commenced in your youth to look to the Lord your God, even so I hope that you will continue in keeping his commandments; for blessed is he that endureth to the end." -Alma 38:2
"It is scary to know how many girls have eating disorders. It is scary to know people are just angry at life because of their situation at home, and angry at others. Its scary to know how many people actually feel like they're worth nothing. Every single girl right here right now, I want you to know that you are beautiful. You are gorgeous just the way you are. And you boys, you the man."
Megan and I went and saw "The Help" over the summer.
We didn't cry for half an hour. The rest of the movie, we sobbed. Not even exaggerating. It was the huffy, can't breath, blowing your nose loudly crying you only get when you're 9 years old getting 9 spankings on a family vacation. (Long story.)
Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. --Golden Rule
And above all, never. I repeat, NEVER give up.
Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest. -Joshua 1:9
Have a great day everyone. :)
Remember to Inspire.
Never Conspire.
With love,
Rachael
The last one ALWAYS makes me cry. Without fail.
