Today I realized it's the little things in life that make me happy. Like for instance, the weather today. There's only a few clouds in the sky, there's a chill in the air, and the leaves are falling down. This is what my 13 mile run looked like today. Not even kidding.
How can you not smile and run at the same time. (Not to mention the song "Lemonade" played on my Ipod)
Even though it happened on accident, falling asleep talking to your best friend can be kinda cute. (I'm sure he doesn't think so...HAH. Who cares. ;)
I prefer to think of it like this.
Discovering legitimately cute photos on google. (One of my many obsessions.)
Oh, and I can't forget kissing my parents goodnight. Its tradition to kiss my mum on the cheek after family prayer. (If you don't kiss your parents goodnight, then start. Seriously. You're never too old for some parental sugar) My dad is another story. If you've seen Finding Nemo then you know what I'm talking about. Does this look familiar?
It should. Its right after they go "Give me some fin, noggin, Dude!"
Basically me and my dad have a special way of saying goodnight. We press our cheeks together. Its weird. But it makes me happy.
One last thing that makes me happy. Taking my girls out for a shopping spree and lunch. All of which were on me. Buying gifts for other people and watching them have a good time makes my cup of lemonade overfill. Be jealous of my extremely awesome relationship with my cousins. We are like this.
Love life, and love the people in it.
